Agape Recovery House offers a male specific program the provides a conducive environment for recovery and relapse prevention. This service is tailored to the specific needs of men seeking to achieve and maintain lasting sobriety in a safe, comfortable and secure setting. Research and experience indicate the different challenges and experiences faced by men in addiction and recovery. Our knowledgeable staff addresses these issues in a gender specific and gender exclusive program designed to foster structure, accountability and community.

accountability

Agape Recovery House provides freedom with accountability in the transition process. Residents are free to use their personal cell phones and are encouraged and assisted to seek employment if their time commitments, such as IOP or PHP, allow. Vehicles are allowed after an initial period of time unless needed from critical task such as work or transportation to IOP or therapy. Our program stresses personal accountability through drug and alcohol screening, basic scheduling, curfews and required attendance at recovery related activities including 12 Step meetings and in-house programs such as recovery coaching and resident meetings. The residents will be on the “buddy system” for the first 30 days of the program with a senior resident.

Painted Heart

structure

Agape Recovery House offers amenities such as wifi, exercise facilities, pool and parking in a clean and secure, gated community. Residents are expected to observe a schedule adjusted for individual needs and obey a set of rules designed to enhance their sober experience and create an atmosphere conducive to community living, cooperation, participation and recovery. We have a specific schedule throughout the week that enables the men to begin to develop time management, productivity, and other life skill habits that engage their sense of taking responsibility for their own “program” and long-term sobriety. We also provide the frame work needed to get fully immersed into the 12-step process that will allow them to deeply connect with others and provide a higher purpose and meaning for their lives turning their thoughts and actions towards serving others.

community

Residents are housed in comfortable, modern apartments in a suburban, residential setting with men experiencing similar challenges and opportunities. We have a staff available to the residents 24/7 and have a live-in house manager on site. Our staff provides general monitoring, recovery coaching, communication with family and sponsors and transportation to meetings and events. Our experienced and compassionate staff works with you to interact with family, support service and government agencies. The culture of our program is one of “extended family” or a “tribe” in which the senior members support the newcomers thus creating a culture of support and internal accountability. We truly a program for anyone and have a wide variety of residents that come from all walks of life.

The staff at Agape Recovery House understands the difficulties, struggles and possibilities of early recovery. We want you to succeed because we’ve been there.  We know that, for those willing to be honest and take the steps necessary on the road to recovery, a new life will arise. We also realize that recovery doesn’t look that same for everyone, so we do our best to facilitate each individual's personal program of recovery as long as it is healthy and contributes to their overall wellness in guidelines with our Rules and Regulations. Men have a specific set of issues that our well experienced and compassionate staff are willing and able to not only speak on but lead through their actions and authentic interactions. Our culture is one in which each person is deeply appreciated and cared for. Every single resident is heard, felt, and a part of our family from the moment they walk through our doors on into our alumni program. Recovery is a lifelong journey and we provide opportunities to connect even after graduation.
